61st Annual AWDA Business/Education Conference

Conference Highlights

AAPEX and Industry Week

The 61st Annual AWDA-AAIA Business & Education Conference is a key feature of Automotive Aftermarket Industry Week (AAIW). Distributors who attend the AWDA Conference will be automatically registered to attend the major trade shows underway in Las Vegas at that time: the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) at the Sands Expo Center and the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

One-on-One Business Meetings

Central to AWDA’s Conference are the unique one-on-one business meetings between distributors and their vendors. These pre-scheduled sessions enhance members’ Industry Week experience by providing high-quality business discussions in a personal and confidential environment. Participants are top decision-makers with member companies: both warehouse distributors and vendors. They have the clout to solve problems, explore opportunities and forge new partnerships. AWDA’s one-on-ones are simply the most efficient way to conduct serious business during Industry Week.

Meeting schedules during the conference will mirror last year’s event. One-on-one meetings on Tuesday and Wednesday will be conducted in one of two venues only: 1) in the AWDA One-on-One Conference Center where private meeting rooms set up by AWDA are reserved in advance; or 2) in meeting rooms located in the vendor booths on the AAPEX show floor.

Please note: According to AAPEX rules, AWDA manufacturers and businesses holding one-on-one meetings must have an AAPEX booth to participate in the one-on-ones.

AWDA Executive Briefings

Scheduled for Sunday afternoon, Nov. 2 and hosted by the University of the Aftermarket, two separate briefings will provide conference attendees with in-depth information on trends and opportunities affecting the aftermarket. These will be high-level events with limited seating available. Be sure to indicate your plans to attend on the registration form. Topics and speakers will be announced as details are finalized, but plan your arrival in Las Vegas in order to make the 2 p.m. start time. Credit toward AAP or MAAP designations will be awarded to attendees.

AAIA Educational Offerings

AAIA offers its AWDA members a number of other educational opportunities in conjunction with AAPEX. Topics include technology, global trade, legislation and regulation, management and marketing. Visit www.aapexshow.com regularly for updated information on AAIA’s educational offerings throughout Industry Week.
